I am a hardworking, confident and determined male from the UK, who has recently moved to New Zealand to work and travel for a year. Working in a care environment as well as in a school, I am very good at dealing with challenging people and situations. How would you describe your personality?
I'm an energetic, easy going, fun loving guy. I'm hardworking, and determined to succeed in any task given to me - no job is too big and I love a challenge.
What qualities do you like in a sales assistant when you're the one doing the shopping?
Easily approachable and a friendly manner. To be knowledgeable about the company and products, and be able to help and advise me on my shopping, whilst informing me on any offers or promotions that may be on.
How do you like to be treated by cashiers/check-out staff when you're buying something?
I like to be greeted by them in a warm and friendly manner, and offered any assistance that I may need. I like the opportunity to engage in some easy going conversation, but don't want to feel that I need to, and that no conversation is also fine.
What draws you to apply for a job in retail?
I like to keep up with the current styles, fashions and trends, and think retail would be a good place to do this. I'd also like to offer my opinions on certain styles and design choices.
Outside of work how do you like spending your time doing?
I like to spend my spare time outside, exploring off the beaten track. I like to take long walks in the country side looking for rewarding views. I also enjoy skateboarding around the city, as well as listening to music, watching films and playing video games.
