Mary Potter Hospice Shop - Karori, Wellington Retail sales assistant
I was a volunteer retail assistance during my time, I assisted customers in looking for what they were wanting and making them feel welcomed. I always ensured the shop was well-presented, clean and tidy.
I became skilled in operating EFTPOS, cash handling and organising and displaying items to ensure the shop was easy to get around and there were no health and safety issues for customers or staff. This role also helped me strengthen and develop my efficiency in working as part of a team.
Currently, I am in my fourth year studying at Victoria University completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Human resources and Management.
I am hard-working and a team player, able to organise myself and others to complete a job or tasks as required.
I am looking for employment that will challenge me to use my initiative and skills to complete all work to a high standard and in the time frame required.
I can work autonomously and well with others to share the workload and pull on each other's strengths to complete all tasks as required.
